We will be discussing the 75th Anniversary celebration to be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014. We need volunteers to help with set-up and serving of the meal. All women 18 and older are members. There is no fee to join the club. New ideas can be presented. Call Debbie Miller at 745-4332, if you have any questions or want to volunteer.

09072014Fall adult education class this year will start at the same time as religious education classes. At our first meeting will be Sunday, September 7 @ 9:15 am in the lower level. Our book this year will be "Rediscovering Catholicism" by Matthew Kelley. If you do not have a copy we have copies available. 0914201475th Anniversary MQP Watch for details!! Save the day! Archbishop Tobin visit: Mass and a catered luncheon to which all registered parishioners and families will be invited. In order to have plenty of food for this event every registered household will receive an invitation. If you attend MQP, but are not registered, please call the office at 745-4284 as soon as possible so you can join us. Invitations will be mailed soon with more details! Stay tuned!

Bob is Jeff McQueen's Godson and a member of Mary, Queen of Peace. He has blood cancer again after 6 weeks of remission. He is back in the hospital for 4 weeks of chemo.

08272014There will be a training session for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion ( previously called Eucharistic Ministers) on Wednesday, August 27 at 7 pm. This meeting is important to all EMHC, who did not attend the meeting August 5. This meeting is also for new people interested becoming an EMHC. We will cover more details for the new people after the initial training session. We look forward to meeting with you for the training!

09012014Did you know on Sunday April 04, 1954, Pastor of Mary, Queen of Peace, Father Anthony Mcloughlin, and parish members witnessed as Msgr. Henry F. Dugan, Archdiocesan Chancellor, presided as he laid the cornerstone for the new church. On August 15, 1954, Archbishop Paul C. Schulte blessed the new church located at Mackey Road and US 36. F.A. Wilhelm designed a 100 ft by 60 ft red brick, one story building which would hold classrooms on top, but these were never added. Fr. Tony left the parish after a decade of service. He was replaced in 1956 by FR. Edward Mclaughlin, "Mac".

09032014Last year we shared your donations of school supplies with Archdiocesan Holy Family Shelter, one school and individual families. St Phillip's principal was just elated when she came out to help us carry in school supplies. This helps teachers throughout the year to meet the needs of their students whose parents are struggling to purchase supplies. Please place your donated school supplies in the wicker basket inside the church doors. As always thank you in advance for your generosity and gift of sharing. Thanks! FOSA

09092014As part of the celebration of the founding of our parish, after the 10:30 Mass with the Archbishop as celebrant, we will have a catered luncheon to which all registered parishioners and families will be invited. In order to have plenty of food for this event, every registered household will receive and invitation with RSVP instructions IF, you attend MQP, but are not registered, please call the office at 745-4284 as soon as possible so you can join us for food and fellowship! All married couples of the Archdiocese who will celebrate their 50th anniversary are invited to the 31st Annual Gold Jubilee Mass @ 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at SS Peter and Paul Cathedral.
