Fortnight for Freedom

The Fortnight for Freedom begins this Saturday, June 21 and concludes on July 4th, Independence day. This year's theme, "Freedom to Serve," will focus on the freedom to serve the poor and vulnerable in accord with human dignity and the Church's teaching.

A rally opening the Fortnight will take place on the south steps of the Indiana State House from 1:30-3:00 pm, following the 12:10 Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Due to a wedding parking is available in the near by Circle City Mall parking garage. Cost for this period of time is approximately $3.00.

Please find the attached flier and help us spread the word concerning this opportunity to come together for this public expression of our faith in Christ and His Church and to pray for the protection of religious freedom.

We continue to seek an priest or deacon to provide a few words of encouragement regarding how to spend these 14 days and beyond. Please reply with your ideas, especially if you know of someone who is available and willing.
